Girls on Film (A-List #2) by Zoey Dean

Published April 7th, 2004

Girls on Film is the wickedly funny and risqué sequel to the bestselling A-List that takes readers behind the scenes of the intoxicating world of Hollywood glitterati.

Seventeen year-old Anna Percy has moved from posh Manhattan to the evcen more posh Beverly Hills, California, where she’s living with her estranged dad for the rest of the school year while her mother travels to Europe with a friend.

Girls on Film is the second book in the A-List series. I liked this one better than the first. Things get a bit more complicated in this one. I liked how the relationships changed in this one, particularly the one between Adam and Anna and Anna and Sam. Even though most of these teens are spoiled rotten, it’s one of those guilty pleasures series for me.

Two things do annoy me about these books, though: 1. All the name dropping. I can understand some name dropping because this is a materialistic world, but sometimes it seems like overkill; and 2. The writing had more than a few errors. Still, a fun read to give me a bit of a break in between review material.
