Blood Rites (Dresden Files #6) by Jim Butcher
Published August 3rd, 2004

Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard, takes on a case as a favor to his friend Thomas-a vampire of dubious integrity-only to become the prime suspect in a series of ghastly murders.

The Dresden Files seems to be one of those series that just keeps getting better and better. I’m loving the continued character development of Harry and other characters. I especially like how Harry’s relationship with Murphy seems to be evolving.

The plot was great, and one of the villains was absolutely hilarious. I loved the introduction of the notch-eared puppy (he was adorable). A lot of secrets are revealed in this book–really cool secrets. This one may actually be my most favorite of out the series for the moment. Great installment for the series.
